Waiting on Wednesday: Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

April 18, 2012 By Jessica Filed Under: Waiting on Wednesday 13 Comments

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

I saw this book featured on The Story Siren as a YA debut novel.  Not only is the cover just gorgeous and screams “Unique story inside!” the story is a mix of dystopian and high-fantasy.  The world sounds amazing and different.  I can’t wait to read it!

Release Date: June 5, 2012

Series: The Grisha #1

Book Cover of Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

This does sound good! I just added it to my GoodReads. The cover reminds me of Sleeping Beauty for some reason.

I want to read this one SO bad! It’s a combination of that stunning cover, the fascinating blurb, and the crazy hype already surrounding this book.

I agree, I love this cover. It’s so different from the YA covers you see most of the time, I just hope it lives up to it! Great choice for WoW!

Excellent pick, Jess! I’ve heard so many positive things about this book and, yes, I completely agree with you on the cover — such a standout from everything else. GIMME!
