Waiting on Wednesday: Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

July 11, 2012 By Jessica Filed Under: Waiting on Wednesday 7 Comments

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

This book has been on my radar since I saw it described as a teen version of Game of Thrones.  With all the 5 star reviews from my friends on Goodreads, I know it’s going to be good and I can’t wait to read it!  The cover is nice, but it doesn’t scream “high fantasy” to me.  It looks more dystopian.

Release Date: August 7, 2012

Series: Throne of Glass #1

Great choice! Throne of Glass is waiting for me on my NOOK and I can’t wait to finally read it. I do agree that the cover doesn’t exactly look high fantasy, but have you seen the UK cover? Love it!

I can see what you mean about the cover. I’m one of those people who’ve read it already and loved it! Celaena was awesome and the chemistry between the love interests was off the charts!
