I loved this movie!  Be sure to check out my review of the movie and the book.  I’m so glad this comes out in time for Valentine’s Day because it’s one of those romantic comedies that is laugh out loud hilarious but still romantic too.  Check out one of the clips from the Austenland YouTube channel.

To enter the giveaway, use the Rafflecopter below.  If you’ve seen this movie, I want to hear what you thought of it in the comments!

Big thank you to Sony and Fickle Fish Films for sponsoring this giveaway.

I haven’t seen the movie but I did read the book Austenland. I thought it was a fun take on a classic retelling. Not sure I’d pay to take part for a vacation, give me a warm beach front stay instead.

This movie was fantastic! It was perfect in every way. It totally embodied the spirit of the book, while being insanely funny at the same time. I loved every minute of it! I went and saw it twice in the theaters and am literally counting down the days till I can buy it. Such a great film, everyone Jane Austen fan (and non-Jane Austen fans as well…my husband loved it) needs to see this movie!

You have to have a real appreciation for Jane Austen’s books to understand how hilarious this movie really is. Austenland has become one of my favorite movies and my roommates love it just as much. We’ve all probably seen it 4 times either together or separately. The theaters were usually close to empty thanks to the times we decided to go but that just made everything better! We were cackling and making jokes through the entire thing. The rest of the audience loved us for it, definitely. I love this movie a ridiculous amount.

This movie is just wonderful. Delicate, funny, irreverent, romantic, just like a Jane Austen novel. I bought the book on Amazon, but I’m reading it in English, because it has not yet been translated into Italian. My favorite heroines are Catherine Morland and Anne Elliot, different from each other but both marvelous protagonists (not to mention Henry Tilney and Captain Wentworth: characters with crystalline depth, described with simple stretch by Austen). Lizzie was the first character of Jane I have discovered, therefore keep a strong attachment to the couple Bennet-Darcy too!
