My Mailbox (55)

May 30, 2014 By Jessica Filed Under: In My Mailbox 8 Comments

Format: select

My Mailbox is where I show all the books I’ve gotten by various means throughout the month.

I will be linking up with Mailbox Monday and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.

Since I LOVE book cover art on my kindle, I took my own pictures of the covers of my ebooks.

All links go to Goodreads.

Bought

I was able to meet Orson Scott Card in April who was one of my favorite authors as a teen.  These are the books I bought and got signed.  I also got Xenocide signed but I’ve owned that book since I was 15 so I didn’t put it in this post.

Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card
“To Jessica – A survival guide for geniuses -“

Speaker for the Dead by Orson Scott Card
“To Jessica – Be kind to trees!”

Children of the Mind by Orson Scott Card
“To Jessica – Suffer virtual children…”

I got a ton of great ebooks on sale at Amazon.  I’m so glad digital book hoarding doesn’t take up any room :)

The Assassin’s Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke
The Pirate’s Wish by Cassandra Rose Clarke
Of Poseidon by Anna Banks

For Review

Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch
Stray by Elissa Sussman

Final Straw by Gary Taaffe
A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray

Thanks to the publishers and authors for providing the review copies for me!

What did you get in your mailbox this week?  Leave a link and I’ll come look!

You are SO FREAKING LUCKY!!! You actually got books signed by Orson Scott Card?! OMG!!!!! I’d give just about ANYTHING to get books signed by him!! Oh, well…..hopefully one day he’ll decide to come to Miami, Florida…. Hmmm. Maybe I should send him a telepathic message or something…..

Well, to continue! I also love your other acquisitions, except that, for me, they would all have to be in printed format. I don’t like ebooks.

Thanks for sharing your good fortune with us! Happy Reading!! (And take excellent care of those signed treasures!) : )

I love my kindle, I do, especially because of the space issue, nothing beats a book. :( I have been reading more on my kindle though, haha. And ohhh signed goodies! Seriously can’t wait to read A Thousand Pieces of You, because it’s Claudia Gray and LOOK AT THE COVER <3!

My name is Jessica. I love to read Young Adult and classic literature. I’ve been a book blogger for six years and I haven’t gotten tired of it yet. I’m a very curious reader. Writing about all the questions and thoughts I had while reading a book is the best hobby ever.  Read more….
