Reading Rainbow Kickstarter

Reading Rainbow Kickstarter

  • What: LeVar Burton wants to bring back Reading Rainbow for today’s generation of kids by launching it on the web, mobile devices, android and a special web edition for classrooms.  Part of his campaign is to give it to 7500 classrooms in need for free.  They raised their initial goal of $1 million in 11 hours instead of the 35 days they thought it would take.  They are now at $3.3 million with over 70,000+ people who’ve donated.  They need to reach $5 million to get it on more devices than just the web.  So if you are or were a fan of Reading Rainbow, you should go donate! Anything helps.

Thanks for reminding me about the Reading Rainbow Kick-starter Campaign. I almost forgot to make my donation. I am so happy this program is going to come back.

My name is Jessica. I love to read Young Adult and classic literature. I’ve been a book blogger for six years and I haven’t gotten tired of it yet. I’m a very curious reader. Writing about all the questions and thoughts I had while reading a book is the best hobby ever.  Read more….
