Reading Queue is a monthly meme where you share what books you plan to read for the month. You can hop to other blogs and see what others are reading and maybe find someone reading the same thing as you! Or you can ask for people to vote on what you should read next if you can’t decide. Reading Queue is hosted by Book Tasty and Books: A true story.
To Read
Splintered by A. G. Howard – because I need some page turning YA. I previewed it which I normally don’t do. I have to be a little more selective since I can’t read as many books. This one had me ripping through the pages from the start. I love Alice in Wonderland and I’m excited to read this modern/gothic retelling.
And I still need to read that MS for a friend!
How I Did Last Month
FINISHED: In The Heart of the Sea by Nathaniel Philbrick
Wow. That was one crazy, heart-wrenching survival story. It sucked me in because I had to see how and if they would survive.
STILL READING: The Indian in the Cupboard by Lynne Reid Banks
It seems a little slow to me but my kids like it. We are about 50 pages in.
BONUS READ: It’s All Too Much by Peter Walsh
I got an email from Oprah that took me to Peter’s show on her channel and then Peter’s website and then his Facebook where they were doing a cool 31 day decluttering challenge so I had to get his book from the library. And that is how you discover books on the Internet. It was a good read. I like his focus on changing the relationship with your stuff and envisioning the life you want to live so your stuff compliments that instead of taking over your life. My mudroom already looks so much better.
BONUS READ: Seedfolks by Paul Fleischman
I forgot to put this on last months reading queue, but this was our book club book for February. It’s a super short read about how a garden brings people from all different backgrounds together.

I love Peter Walsh. I used to watch him all the time on Clean Sweep. He’s awesome and has some really great tips for keeping yourself and your spaces organized.

I read Peter Walsh’s decluttering book aimed at teens during high school and found it really helpful. Goodness, looking at the state of my stuff, I should probably read it again. xD

Splintered!!! Make sure you have the next books waiting to be read, once I put this down I needed the next one in my hands but had to wait a whole year for publication. Love, love love, this series so much.
