Why I’m Excited to Read it:

Pirates and time travel? Yes please!  Loving Hook from Once Upon a Time might have something to do with my interest in this book, too :) It’s not actually about Hook or anything, but it’s got pirates! So yay! It’s also gotten some pretty good early reviews.

This is a modern romance kind of like Princess Diaries but she’s trying to find clues about her mother’s past.  Romance and mystery and royalty! I hope this helps with my Downton Abbey withdrawals.

I was first drawn to the cover of this book, but after I read the synopsis I thought it would be fun to read.  It’s about a girl trying to escape a Japanese death curse.  Cool!!
