A Whole New World Fairytale 2.0 Giveaway #FairyTale2pt0

September 21, 2015 By Jessica Filed Under: Blog Tour, Giveaways 14 Comments

Disney has a brand new Young Adult retelling of Aladdin. Fairytale retellings are my favorite thing to read so I was excited to see a retelling of one of my favorite Disney movies.  It’s called A Whole New World (now that song is stuck in my head lol). And you can win a copy!

About the Book

A Whole New World Fairytale 2.0 Giveaway #FairyTale2pt0

A Whole New World

Published: September 1, 2015
Format: Hardcover (384 pages)

What if Aladdin had never found the lamp? This first book in the A Twisted Tale line will explore a dark and daring version of Disney's Aladdin. When Jafar steals the Genie's lamp, he uses his first two wishes to become sultan and the most powerful sorcerer in the world. Agrabah lives in fear, waiting for his third and final wish. To stop the power-mad ruler, Aladdin and the deposed princess Jasmine must unite the people of Agrabah in rebellion. But soon their fight for freedom threatens to tear the kingdom apart in a costly civil war. What happens next? A Street Rat becomes a leader. A princess becomes a revolutionary. And readers will never look at the story of Aladdin in the same way again.

My favorite isn’t a book, but the movie Ever After. I really love that movie.

The actress left to do a new show but it fell through. I think they wanted her to have a bigger part but it didn’t work out. Hence the new novel which I am beyond excited for. I hope they can somehow bring her back. She was great.

I love the Barbie retellings of fairy tales. She’s had Rapunzel, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, The 12 Dancing Princesses, etc. They’re movies, but junior novelizations do get released.

I LOVE Cinder by Marissa Meyer! It’s a retelling of all of the classic fairy tales, but most amazing part is that it’s inspired by Sailor Moon! XD
