I’m loving this new trend of pirate books. This is also Historical Fiction which I love. It looks like a fun pirate adventure romance.

Another pirate adventure! This one is more fantasy and time travel than historical fiction, but how cool is that?! They can sail to any map that they have. OMG I love maps.

At first, I wasn’t interested in this book because my first reaction was “Hunger Games Ripoff.” But it turns out this is about a girl that travels back in time to the reign of Henry VIII and it has more of a Robin Hood vibe. Cool!!

Why I’m Excited to Read it:
It’s been a long time since a brand new concept in fantasy has come around and this one sounds so unique. It’s contemporary fantasy set in New York. The world is full of these gem-spheres that if you pair up make you a little better in some way depending on the color of the sphere (richer, taller, thinner ect.). The cool thing is they find only one of a color that has never been found before. Every one wants it but what does it do? And where is the other one? Just…awesome.

I’ve heard of Burning Midnight. I’ll have to double check my tbr list to make sure it’s on there. I hadn’t heard of The Girl From Everywhere though. Must add that to my tbr too!
Burning Midnight sounds SO good! The concept is so simple, but yes, very original. I like the idea of the randomness, the pricelessness, and the variability of the spheres. Contemporary fantasy is a great genre, and sometimes I feel it is really underworked.
I have heard great reviews of Assassin’s Heart and Blackhearts. It looks like you selected great books for March! Happy Reading!
