Favorite review that you wrote in 2017?
My favorite review was the one I did for The Little Prince. My instinct was to write the review in a list to talk about each of the planets he visits. The funny thing is the little prince says that adults talk in numbers instead of things that matter. I guess that’s true lol.
Best non-review post you had on your blog?
I didn’t write very many non-review posts (maybe 3 all year) but my favorite was the Kids Summer Reading Bucket List. I’ve been wanting to do that post for a while. There’s a lot of books on that list that I want to read, too.
Best moment of blogging life in 2017?
I got my first Star Wars book for review! I couldn’t believe it! You can check out my review for Star Wars Stormtroopers.
Most challenging thing about blogging or your reading life this year?
I found myself not investing in the Alexander Hamilton biography because I was worried that I wouldn’t finish my Goodreads goal. I’ve always tried to read a 1000+ page book each year and this was one of the only years that I didn’t do that.

Best bookish discover (book related sites, book stores, etc.)?
Last year it was the app Bookout, but after they deleted all my data and didn’t give one crap about that, I decided to use Leio which I like much better. It tracks my reading speed and is getting pretty accurate about how predicting how long it will take for me to finish a book.
Did you complete any reading challenges or goals that you had set for yourself at the beginning of this year?
I only had one challenge last year and it was to hit my Goodreads goal of 50 books. And I did! I didn’t hit my goal of reading a 1000+ page book (well I actually consider anything over 800 pages to count as my “long book” because I’m running out of 1000 page books). I’m kind of sad that in my Year of Books stats on Goodreads it says my longest book is Gemina which is only 659 pages (and a lot of those pages are illustrations).
