The Tournament of Heroines

This is the most creative and most fun event that I’ve ever seen.  It first started with the Crush Tourney.  I came across the Crush Tourney a few months ago on Twitter where the competition got intense and authors were offering giveaways and bonus scenes if their characters won.  Cassandra Clare was really pushing for Jace (who ended up winning) and even though I came in half-way through, it was a BLAST.

So I was super excited to see that they are doing another tourney for Heroines complete with teams who have buttons, hashtags and everything you need to get super competitive.  I’ve even seen a few authors offer some bribes even though the tourney doesn’t start until tomorrow.

If you want to get involved, here’s what you need.

• The Tournament Page – a list of the tournament schedule and who is up against who. Get your bracket at the bottom of the page.
• The Advocate Page – a list of all the heroines, what book they are from, and who is advocating for them.

I filled out my bracket in photoshop (click to see larger).  I’m picking Katniss as the winner.  I’m excited to see how many brackets I get right. :)
