Leap into Books Giveaway Winner + Puzzle Answers

March 7, 2012 By Jessica Filed Under: News 5 Comments

Thanks to everyone who entered my giveaway! It was a lot of fun for me to write those title puzzles.  I got so many nice comments from all of you saying that you loved the puzzles or that you were totally stuck and then 5 seconds later I would often see a comment that you figured it out :)  It was a huge success and I’ll definitely be doing another opposite title puzzle in the future.

A lot of you also asked for the answers so here they are:

  1. Aunt Theresa’s Castle = Uncle Tom’s Cabin
  2. Here with the Breeze = Gone with the Wind
  3. Of Rats and Women = Of Mice and Men
  4. Scared Old Local = Brave New World
  5. The Green Word = The Scarlet Letter

The title that had the most correct entries and therefore was probably the easiest was number 3.  The title that had the least amount of entries and had the most comments of people being stuck was title number 5.  LOL “The Green Word” was evil, wasn’t it? :D  I had so many people say “What’s the opposite of green???” I even had one person google search “Aunt Theresa’s Castle” that brought them right back to my blog. :) I wonder if these answers did get on google….

Some delightful but unfortunately incorrect answers:

Uncle Buncle’s House (ha ha! I loved this one:)

Away With the Wind (yes! away with you!)

My Country, ‘Tis of Thee (for Gone with the Wind. O.o?)

OF CATS AND MEN (someone please write this book)

Harry, The Rat with Women (lol)

Calm New Foreigner – wild guess (Thanks for the honesty:)

A surprise to foreigners (um….)

The Jungle Book (for The Scarlet Letter. That’s actually really good….very creative)

The Red Letter (SO close!)

The Green Mile

Neon (what)

And the winner is….

Gef F

Congrats!  I’ll be sending out your book soon!
