Waiting on Wednesday: The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling

July 25, 2012 By Jessica Filed Under: Waiting on Wednesday 6 Comments

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

I know, I know.   It’s got the most boring title and cover known to man, but….it’s J.K. Rowling.  Even if it’s bloody horrid, I’m going to read it.  I must know what this book says.  It can’t be as boring as it looks…can it?  Either way – I MUST KNOW.  I can’t wait for this book to come out so I can stop wondering if it’s good or not.  Honestly, it’s hard to tell.

Oh and by the way, $20 FOR THE EBOOK? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!  They better lower that price before it comes out.  Just wanted to get that off my chest.

Release Date: September 27, 2012

LOL, you make me laugh! :-) I actually haven’t read _any_ of JK Rowling’s books (I KNOW!) and doubt I’d read this one, unless it manages to snag some majorly good reviews. Why in the _world_ would they choose this cover?! It’s hideous >.<

Anyway… I look forward to seeing your review of this one ;-)

    Here’s my WoW!

Seriously.. I don’t know how the heck they got away with this horrible cover.  Like.. what happened here??

Honestly the plot doesn’t interest me that much but I’ll be very curious to read some reviews and see what people think. :)

    Have a great week!

I don’t read a lot of adult books. Do they look like that? The cover is definitely not appealing to me, but of course I’m going to read it!! It’s J.K. Rowling!

You’re right, that is a boring title and I think it’s a very boring cover, if that’s the final cover.  And $20 for the ebook?!  Sorry, think I’ll wait for it to be at the library.  But I’m definitely going to want to give it a try!
