Top Ten Tuesday (3): Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Bringing Me

December 3, 2012 By Jessica Filed Under: Top Ten Tuesday 15 Comments

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish with a different theme every week.

Links for the books are to Goodreads.

Top Ten Books I Wouldn’t

Mind Santa Bringing Me

The Chronicles of Downton Abbey: A New Era by Jessica Fellowes, Matthew Sturgis

The Chronicles of Downton Abbey by Jessica Fellowes. I loved the World of Downton Abbey. This next book looks just as good.  I’m pretty sure you could stick the words “Downton Abbey” on anything and I would buy it.

Darth Plagueis (Star Wars) by James Luceno

Darth Plagueis by James Luceno. Ever since Senator Palpatine mentioned this story to Anakin in Episode III, I’ve been curious about it.  So awesome that they wrote a book!!! I wants it….precioussssssss.

The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force by Daniel Wallace

The Jedi Path by Daniel Wallace. This is the coolest idea for a book ever.  It’s about how to become a Jedi (which is cool in and of itself) AND it also has notes in the margins from Luke, Yodi, Obi-Wan and more.

Harry Potter Film Wizardry Revised and Expanded by Brian Sibley

Harry Potter Film Wizardry Revised and Expanded by Brian Sibley. This is like a pop-up book that any adult would enjoy.  The Revised and Expanded edition includes fun stuff from all eight movies.

Book Cover for The Kill Order by James Dashner

The Kill Order by James Dashner. Loved the Maze Runner series and I can’t wait to read the prequel.

Divide and Conquer (Infinity Ring #2) by Carrie Ryan

Divide and Conquer (Infinity Ring #2) by Carrie Ryan. It’s a time travel novel with a map and an online game. What’s not to love?

The Twilight Saga: The Complete Film Archive: Memories, Mementos, and Other Treasures from the Creative Team Behind the Beloved Motion Pictures by Robert Abele

The Twilight Saga: The Complete Film Archive: Memories, Mementos, and Other Treasures from the Creative Team Behind the Beloved Motion Pictures by Robert Abele. What can I say. It comes shrink-wrapped and I’m curious as to what is in there….

Star Wars: Scoundrels by Timothy Zahn

Star Wars: Scoundrels by Timothy Zahn. Han Solo is on the cover. Need I say more?

How to Train Your Dragon (How to Train Your Dragon #1) by Cressida Cowell

How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell. I thought the movie was adorable.  I’ve looked through this book a couple times at the bookstore and I love how it’s illustrated.  It looks like a darling read.

Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone #1) by Laini Taylor

Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor.  Everyone is talking about this book.  I’ve learned by now to never pass up a book that everyone is talking about.  See also: Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and Divergent.

If you have a Top Ten Tuesday post, leave a link in the comments and I’ll come look!

Oohh… I’ve only seen the first two seasons of Downton Abbey but LOVED it! I can’t wait till they start showing the third season here. That’s a book I really must check out.

    Happy Holidays!

DoSaB has gorgeous writing. I wasn’t really into the love story but the Prague setting was unlike any YA novel I’ve read.

O.o It’s set in Prague? Why do I not already own this book! Maybe I’ll just buy it for myself instead of waiting… LOL

Nice list! I want the Harry Potter one! And Star Wars! Oh wait, excuse me. My inner nerd is showing.

(Or more correctly stated, my inner nerd is walking around in public with a full marching band. My inner nerd doesn’t hide very well. :) )

My blog is the place where my inner nerd gets to waltz around in public too. It’s severely neglected and unappreciated in my real life :D
