Reading Queue July

July 1, 2013 By Jessica Filed Under: Reading Queue 8 Comments

Format: select

Reading Queue is a monthly meme where you share what books you plan to read for the month.  You can hop to other blogs and see what others are reading and maybe find someone reading the same thing as you! Or you can ask for people to vote on what you should read next if you can’t decide.  Reading Queue is hosted by Book Tasty and Books:  A true story.

To Read

For Fun:

Siege and Storm (The Grisha, #2)Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo

If I let this summer pass without reading this epic fantasy, I’ll never forgive myself. I’m going to go out and buy the hardcover instead of the ebook because there is a MAP. Which I am so excited for!!! I got the sads so bad when everyone had this as one of the Best Books of 2013 so far for Top Ten Tuesday.

Dusty Book:

I’m still finishing Atlas Shrugged. My goal is to finish it before the Once Upon a Read-a-thon starts. I want to do that read-a-thon with my kids during the day and read Siege and Storm at night!

Princess Academy (Princess Academy, #1)Princess Academy books 1 and 2 by Shannon Hale

July’s theme for the Dusty Bookshelf Challenge is local authors. I’ve got both of these books in this series sitting on my shelf and I’d love to read them this month!

Challenge Book:

If I magically get through all those I will go back to Transparent and The Invisible Man.  I’m going to meet Natalie Whipple on July 9 in Provo so I know I’ll have the book.  If I don’t get to it this month, it will be on the top of the pile in August.

How I did Last Month:

Dusty Book:

Atlas Shrugged

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand

STILL READING

This book is LONG. I’m on page 817 which is only 70% done. O.o

I get it. I really do. Socialism is bad. Now let’s see this world crash and burn already.

Challenge Books:

For the Classic Double Challenge

Transparent

Transparent by Natalie Whipple

DIDN’T START

The Invisible Man

The Invisible Man by H. G. Wells

DIDN’T START

Link-Up!

If you have your own monthly recap post that talks about what you are going to read next, feel free to link up below!  All post types and formats are welcome as long as you are talking about your reading plans for the month.  And if you could link back to us so others can join that would be great!

Good job with Atlas Shrugged. I will never read that book. I hope it’ll feel good to finish! And I hope you have fun with the rest of your books this month. Siege and Storm is good and I’ve heard a lot of great things about the Princess Academy books! :-)

My name is Jessica. I love to read Young Adult and classic literature. I’ve been a book blogger for six years and I haven’t gotten tired of it yet. I’m a very curious reader. Writing about all the questions and thoughts I had while reading a book is the best hobby ever.  Read more….
