Waiting on Wednesday: Romeo Redeemed by Stacey Jay

April 4, 2012 By Jessica Filed Under: Waiting on Wednesday 8 Comments

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

Juliet Immortal was my favorite book of 2011 and I’m so excited to read it’s sequel, Romeo Redeemed!  Stacey Jay made Romeo a fascinating character and I’m excited to read from his point of view and learn more about him.  And the cover just screams romance, right? :)

Release Date: October 9, 2012

Series: Juliet Immortal #2

I didn’t realize that Juliet Immortal was part of a series! How fun! I haven’t read Juliet Immortal yet, but I’m hoping to get to it soon! Great pick!

That cover definitely does scream romance! I haven’t read the first book but it sounds so interesting. Definitely a new spin to Romeo + Juliet!

Your favourite read of 2011, hmm? I think I meant have disregarded it because I’m not huge on really romance-heavy books, but if it’s as good as you say…

Actually, in this retelling Romeo is Juliet’s enemy because he murdered her. I wouldn’t call it a romance-heavy book. Juliet tries to keep soul mates together and Romeo tries to get them to kill each other. There’s reincarnation and other cool stuff. It’s awesome I swear!
