Yesterday, I wrote a post about falling behind on my Goodreads reading challenge. In that post I talked about how I was going to try to read more to finish my yearly reading goal of 50 books. That’s plan A. In case that doesn’t work out, this post is about my plan B: read lots of short books. I thought some of you might be falling behind on your Goodreads challenge as well so I made a pretty table for you. I went through all the series I’ve read that had companion novellas and to my surprise I found 58 novellas that I could read! Only 6 of these novellas are over 100 pages. Most are in the 50 page range so you could read them in a day. A lot of these books are prequels so even if you haven’t read that series yet, you could still read a lot of novellas on this list. I bet you’ve read a lot of these series and didn’t realize there were novellas that went with it.
Each book in the table is linked to where to find it one the web (some are free to read online and some you can buy from Amazon). The books are listed alphabetically by series. I also listed the page numbers and the price to help you pick the novellas that work for you.

Great post and a handy list. I am behind on my challenge by about 16 books. It was more than that but i added the audiobooks I recently binge listened to and that added a few extra to my list.
I have The Bane Chronicles, and the first few books in the new Shadowhunters collection. I put of The Bane Chronicles as the book is HUGE, but your post made me realise it’s lots of short stories than can be tackled to help bump up my count :D
It’s also a handy reminder I need to finish the series too ;)
I am totally doing this! Just this weekend I read the new Edenbrooke prequel and the novella from These Broken Stars. Working on Fairest right now (while not really a novella.. still really really short!) Thanks for this awesome list!
